The Consortium for this project comprised of INNOVECO and ALA Planning Partnership L.L.C.
This Project concerned the updating of a previous (a) Feasibility, (b) Economic and (c) Cost Benefit study prepared at an earlier stage within the framework of the project “Municipal Solid Waste reduction program of beach hotels and related Waste Generating sites for the Limassol and Paphos Districts” and specifically the Municipalities of Limassol, Germasogeia, Paphos, Geroskipou, Polis Chrysochous, Pegeia and the Communities of Agios Tychonas, Pareklisia, Mouttayaka, Neo Chorio”.
The general objective of the project was the promotion of separate collection systems for paper, metal, plastic and organic waste and the compliance of the Republic of Cyprus with the Community Legislation on waste management, specifically the Framework Directive on Waste and the Directive on Sanitary Waste Disposal.
ALA provided the planning and environmental input to the study and assisted with the consultation with the local authorities.
