The project was prepared by the consortium Tredit SA, PTV AG, CETH / HIT and ALA Planning Partnership and was funded by the European Union and National Funds.
The overall project objective was the improvement of interurban public transport services. The scope of the study included the design of the interurban public transport system in Cyprus aiming at optimising the public transport services connecting the major cities of Cyprus (Lefkosia, Lemesos, Larnaka, Ammochostos and Pafos), other special land uses (airports, ports, universities) and major tourist destinations in the island and formed the basis for a strategic framework for infrastructure investment in intermodal points such as park & ride facilities etc.
