The Consortium for this project comprised of INNOVECO and ALA Planning Partnership L.L.C. The general objective of the project was the Implementation of a separation at source system and a system for the separate collection of paper/cardboard, plastic, metal, glass and organic/biological waste and the contribution of the project area to the compliance of the Republic of Cyprus with the Community Legislation on waste management and specifically the amendment of the Waste and the Sanitary Waste Disposal Directives.
The specific goal of the project was the preparation of a comprehensive, centralised and documented study that included a Feasibility Study, a Techno-Economic Study, a Cost-Benefit Analysis Study and a Financing Deficit Calculation Study. ALA provided the planning and environmental input to the study and assisted with the consultation with the local authorities.
